James’s Blog

This week was so amazing I was able to finish my board and all of the bubble letters and pictures of my drawings on it. Some success I had was actually finishing my board and gluing the photos. A struggle I had was not being able to work on my script which was a bad decision because I didn’t have one. I was also sad when I couldn’t color it like I wanted. Next week I am excited to present to anybody who comes by my board and to present to the class and to miss Moffat so I can see the grade I get for all of my hard work. I hope that I will keep this skill and maybe get better at it when I work at home. I loved doing this project and I hope that I might be able to do it in 8th grade. Thank you so much for reading.

this week was awesome I was able to work a lot on my trifold and do lots of letters. Some successes I had this week were, being able to draw lots of bubble letters on my board and starting my script. A struggle I had was only being able to do a little bit of my speech before the bell rang and I had to stop and I wasn’t able to color it like I wanted to. An adjustment I had to make is to force myself to start a script even though I didn’t get far because I spent all my time on my board. Next week I want to start working on my script and put the pictures on and then color it a little bit. I will also want to make sure my script is good especially for the 20% project night and the presentation we have to do in class.

I have three favorite memories from this school year. My first memory is doing high jump in P.E. I love high jump because I look forward to it every year and I think I’m pretty good at it. The second memory I have is when we did the knight at the museum. The tacos were really good and the presenting was actually kind of fun. The last memory I have is doing the school volleyball. I love playing volleyball and the championship was awesome. This school has given me so many memories and I love it here.

This image has has a strong message. This image really tells me how to really enjoy what you have and that I shouldn’t need more than I have to be happy. The caption on this image tells us that you don’t need a lot to be happy. I also h love this caption because it says that happiness is what is considered to be enough which means that you need to expect not a lot then you are happy.

This month I read Doomwyte, by Brian Jacques. This book is about a place called Redwall and how they are being attacked by a crow army the Redwall Ed’s need to defend themselves but without an army or any good weapons they need to get creative to fight the crows off. I loved this book because it had a lot of things going on so I was always excited to pick it up and keep reading. My favorite characters is laird Boise Mcscutta because he is great with a blade. One quote to prove that he is good with a blade is when the book states, “I am amazed said Samulous, some of the best sword handling I’ve ever seen.” My favorite quote from this book is “Never order your tribe tae do somethin’ that you’re afeared tae do yerself, laddie.” I love this quote because this was when Bosie humiliated a bad boss in front of his crew.

My favorite room in my house is the game room. I love this room because it has my Xbox in it and I love playing with my friends on my Xbox. The second reason I love the game room is because it has a large tv that can make movies look epic. The last reason I love this room is because I can walk out on the balcony and see the streets and a lot of stuff from up their.

This week was awesome because I was really able to know what it is like to be a pro doing this stuff while I draw along with him. Some success I had this week was being able to draw along with a pro while he did a caricature so I can see different techniques and tips from a pro that has been doing this for years. Some struggles I had was not being able to do as much as I wanted because I wanted to do live caricatures but I still think drawing along with him really helped me see what I need to do in my drawings. Since I didn’t have as much time I want next time I will look at the clock and check when I should start drawing. Next week I will get a couple more tips from YouTube and then I will try to do lots of live caricatures of my classmates.

This week was so great I was able to accomplish lots including, watching YouTube still trying to learn individual parts of a face and I also drew LeBron James which I was so excited about! Some success I had was being able to draw LeBron I feel like I did a pretty good job! A struggle I had was how much time is had, I struggled because I wanted to be able to draw more things instead of just LeBron and YouTube. Since I ran out of time I wasn’t able to do any live drawings of my classmates like I wanted to do because that is really fun to me. Next week I will try to watch more YouTube about how to do more pieces of the face and draw more live drawings and I hope I can do them better than I have been. I also hope that I will be able to see one of my first drawings and compare it with my new ones.

This week was so great I was able to accomplish so much more than I thought I would! This week I was able to start doing live caricatures and I even finished two! Some amazing successes I had were being able to start doing live caricatures instead of just doing photo’s and being able to get better at individual pieces of a face. This week was so good that I didn’t even have a struggle though I did want to finish my drawing that I started and couldn’t finish because of the bell! I hope I will be able to keep this up throughout this all these weeks. Since nothing went wrong I didn’t have any struggles and I am so proud of that. Next week I hope I can master doing lips because those seem to be harder to draw for me. I also want to do more exaggeration with my drawings.

There are so many people I would invite to dinner, but these are my top three: Jeff Bezos, Iron Man, and Luke Skywalker. I would invite Jeff because he could bring a 100 billion dollar check and I would be rich. I would invite Iron Man because he could make me a super futuristic suit with tons of cool gadgets. Last of all I would invite Luke because he could give me a lightsaber and he could teach me the force.
